Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is the best-known type of bodywork performed today and one of the primary goals is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by working the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, increase circulation, improve range of motion, along with other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation. No deep tissue work.

BENEFITS: increases the level of oxygen in the blood, decreases muscle toxins, improves circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a specific type of massage that focuses on manipulating the deeper layers of the muscle and fascia in our body. By using slow, firm and deep strokes, the massage therapist is able to loosen tight muscles and alleviate muscle tension. Upon arrival, your Massage Therapist will discuss your pressure preferences and areas that need more focus work so that your session is always crafted to your specific needs.

BENEFITS: Helps loosen and stretch tight muscles, promotes healing, helps recovery from sports related injuries and as a post surgery rehabilitation therapy.

Integrated Bodywork

Integrated Bodywork

An integrated approach to massage incorporates multiple styles or techniques to treat a broad range of issues. An integrated session could include a combination of these various techniques: Reflexology, Myofascial release, Trigger Point/Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), stretching, energy work, add-ons such as cups or stones, and many other options.

Each session is customized based on your goals and discussions with your therapist.

Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage

Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Side-lying postures and special pillows are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen and avoid any potential discomfort. Massage therapy is an excellent choice for prenatal care.

BENEFITS: Prenatal Massage not only helps relieve the most common and normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy like backaches, stiff necks, leg cramps, headaches and edema (swelling) but also relieves depression and anxiety caused by hormonal changes.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage

Sports massage caters to athletic patients of all types, professional, collegiate, and high-school level players – even people who exercise regularly and have an active lifestyle. Sports massage therapy is a more focused deep tissue massage and may focus on a certain area of the body. It uses a combination of deep and light modalities to loosen muscle knots, improve blood flow, and prevent lactic acid buildup.

BENEFITS: Heal and prevent sport injury, improving flexibility & quicker recovery time between games.

Ashiatsu Massage

Ashiatsu massage

Ashiatsu Massage is the most luxurious and beneficial form of massage on the planet. From the root words "ashi" meaning foot and "atsu" meaning pressure, this barefoot massage technique uses smooth, fluid strokes that glide over the body. Utilizing overhead parallel bars for support, balance, and leverage, the therapist uses body weight and gravity to apply pressure directed through their bare feet. The work is done with the therapist's heel, outer edge of the foot, instep, and toes.

BENEFITS: Ashiatsu massage is especially effective for the lower back, spinal erectors, shoulders, glutes, hamstrings and calves, as well as the quads, this technique is shown to actually increase the intervertebral disc space resulting in fluidity and pain relief.

Tech Neck / Chair Massage

What is Tech Neck? “Tech neck” is a modern nickname for an age-old problem: neck pain caused by repetitive strain to the muscles and delicate tissues of the neck. Typically, this strain is a result of looking down at a device screen, hence the name. Tech neck can lead to headaches, stiff necks, neck spasms, reduced mobility, jaw pain and pain between your shoulder blades. The strain of looking down for prolonged periods can also put pressure on the arteries, veins, and muscles that travel from your neck to your hand, which can stop the circulation in your hand and lead to numbness and tingling in your arm and hand.
